The Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship Expo (KMI) is a meeting place for Indonesian entrepreneurial students who have been equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitudes or entrepreneurial spirit. The students are young people who have the potential to become successful and tough entrepreneurs in facing the challenges of global business competition.
The Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship Expo (KMI) attended by Indonesian students and including students from the University of Medan, the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences was held on November 9 – 12, 2018 at the Darmaga campus of the Bogor Institute of Agriculture with the theme “Strengthening Indonesian Student Entrepreneurs through Techno -Sociopreneurship facing the Industrial Revolution 4.0”.
The types of entrepreneurs promoted are TARA MEDAN HAVE ITEMS (Knitted Bags) promoted by M. Hary Sahputra (Faculty of Agriculture), TAS RAMLI (Environmentally Friendly Bags) promoted by Adi Prayetno (Faculty of Agriculture), YOMAMA (Uma Student Yogurt) promoted by Mulyadi (Faculty of Agriculture), and POTATALK (Long Potatoes) promoted by Minna Riangya (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences).
In this activity the Medan Area University Students were accompanied directly by the Head of the Entrepreneurship and Career Center namely Mr. Ahmad Prayudi, SE, MM and also the Secretary of the PKK namely Mr. Waliyono, S. Psi.
The program also aims to encourage institutional or entrepreneurial units in 150 public and private tertiary institutions to support the development of entrepreneurship programs. As a final result, it is expected that a decline in unemployment rates for tertiary education graduates.
