Medan Area University held Technical Guidance (Bimtek) of Study Program Curriculum Development in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0 to support the Independent Campus Learning Program.
Rector of the University of Medan Area Prof. Dr. Dadan Ramdan, M.Eng, M.Sc in his speech said that this activity aims to strengthen the commitment of the Medan Area University in compiling the Policy curriculum for the Free Learning Program for the Independent Campus, especially in the study program at the University of Medan Area.
This Bimtek activity was attended by all Faculty Leaders and Heads of Study Programs at the Medan Area University. The Head of Communication Studies Study Program at the University of Medan Area, Ilma Saakinah Tamsil, M.Comm said that this activity was very useful to facilitate the study program in compiling the curriculum for the Independent Campus Learning Policy Program.
“The challenges in the future must be able to adjust to the latest issues, with the change in 21st skills from 4C to 6C, namely Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Character education and computational thinking,” said Ilma.
Meanwhile, Dr. Syamsul Arifin (Belmawa Dikti Team) said that the implementation of the Independent Campus Learning Policy Program can be carried out when there is a collaboration between study programs and industry, alumni, and scientific associations to get a curriculum that is in accordance with the challenges of the 4.0 industrial revolution.
